CANEMORTO

CANEMORTO is a trio of anonymous Italian artists active since 2007. During the past ten years they have painted murals all around Europe that stand out for their raw and brutal style.
The personal imagery of CANEMORTO mixes elements of graffiti culture with the worship of an evil god, called Txakurra, which influences the work of the group and his choices. In 2015 the trio produced and published the independent feature film “Amo-Te Lisboa”, documenting two months of unauthorized wall paintings in the streets of Lisbon; the movie has been screened in art spaces, cultural centers and galleries worldwide. Since then CANEMORTO released other short movies such as «Toys» and «Golden Age», had solo exhibitions in Viafarini (Milan), Kapow (Gent), Altrove Gallery (Catanzaro), Studio Cromie (Grottaglie) and took part in group exhibitions at Museo Marca (Catanzaro), Alte Handelsschule (Leipzig), Museo Etnografico del Friuli (Udine), Galleria Varsi (Rome), Palazzo Fazzari (Catanzaro), Ex Dogana (Rome), Undercurrents Gallery (London), USF Verftet (Bergen).
